About the firm

A holding company built to structure capital, not merely to source it.

Onyx Holdings International operates at the intersection of holding structure, structured finance, and cross-border capital. We work with a small number of clients at a time, on mandates where the structure itself is the value we add.

01The firm

The firm was formed on a straightforward observation: the distance between what a company can borrow and what a company can finance is enormous, and almost entirely a function of how the transaction is constructed. Closing that distance requires access to private capital, fluency in instrument and collateral structures, and the patience to run diligence properly. It is a narrow discipline, and we practise it narrowly.

We are not a broker. We do not distribute mandates across a market and take a fee on whoever responds. We take a position on the structure, build it, and stay with it through documentation, disbursement, and the years that follow.

02Principles

Four commitments that govern every mandate.

01

Discretion

Mandates are not broadcast. Distribution is targeted and single-channel by default, because a transaction that has been shopped widely arrives in the market already devalued. What you tell us stays with the people who need it to do the work.

02

Precision

A structure that is nearly right does not close. We would rather spend an additional week in diligence than present terms that unravel at documentation, and we say plainly when a requirement cannot be met as stated.

03

Alignment

We take on mandates we believe will complete. Where we do not see a viable structure, we say so at the first meeting rather than the fourth, and there is no cost to having had the conversation.

04

Endurance

A financing is not an event. It is a structure the business will live inside for years, and it is designed on that basis — with covenant headroom, repayment mechanics, and reporting obligations a management team can actually carry.

03Coverage

International by construction.

Capital, assets, and domicile rarely sit in the same jurisdiction, and the structure has to account for all three. We work across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific, coordinating with local legal and tax counsel in each.

If the structure you have been offered does not fit, it is worth finding out what else exists.

A first conversation is confidential and without obligation.
